Mitsui is a Japanese company that trades in a wide range of products and materials. The company’s largest revenue generators are its trading activities in the energy and chemical sectors, but it also has operations in machinery, food, textiles, logistics and more. It was originally founded in 1876, but was dissolved following World War II, and the current incarnation wasn’t established until 1947. Today, Mitsui has a global network of more than 1,000 subsidiaries and associated companies in 90 countries.
