Pertamina is an Indonesian state-owned oil and natural gas corporation headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. The firm was created in 1968 following the merger of Pertamin (established 1961) and Permina (established 1957), and is the second largest crude oil producer in Indonesia. Pertamina employs 27,429 workers, owns six oil refineries and is responsible for a further four. The firm also owns a number of subsidiaries operating in the areas of gas, geothermal energy, drilling services and more.
