Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is a state-owned power utility. The company's primary activities include the generation, procurement, transmission, and distribution of electricity. EGAT produces energy using hydro, coal, natural gas, geothermal, wind, solar, diesel, fuel oil and palm oil, among others. EGAT also offers electrical engineering, and power plant construction, operation and maintenance services; and sells power generation by-products to external organizations in ASEAN countries. EGAT is headquartered in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
