Overview:
The greatest difference in today's workplace is the Death of Control. The employee you can control you don't want working for you! (They'll expect you to be their mommy or daddy. I don't know about you, but I already have enough kids.)
Control as a management approach doesn't work. Just ask a Millennial. Besides, have you ever had much success trying to control everybody? It's so exhausting!
There's a reason why Gallup and other surveys have consistently shown that two-thirds of all employees are 'disengaged.' It's because so many managers think control is still the answer! (And you wonder why they are so frustrated and overwhelmed.)
Disengagement causes a whole host of problems including turnover, resentment, brand damage, customer problems, sabotage, lawsuits, cyber exposures, and other exposures. Most importantly it removes any 'discretionary effort,' severely damaging productivity, creativity, and the bottom line.
In this fast-moving Webinar, attorney, author and speaker, Don Phin, will take us through a process to increase engagement levels at our company. Don will remind us about the importance of defining what engages you, not just someone you lead or manage. Engagement is an inside/out game!
Then Don will focus on specific strategies and tools to increase engagement levels. He will discuss how to hire the engaged, onboard them, reach understandings and reinforce positive performance. And yes, he will discuss what to do with those people who remain stubbornly disengaged.
This is a fun training because it's about bringing out the best in you and the people you work with every day.
