The extraction of solar power from space with the help of space-based solar power system components such as solar transmitting satellites, receiving stations, radio frequency (RF) power transmission system, and photovoltaic control system. Solar panels on solar power satellites such as microwave and laser transmitting satellites converts solar power into electricity. This generated electricity is further converted into RF power and transmitted to receiving station on earth where RF power is converted back into electricity and distributed to end users through power grid.
