- Aligned with global travel trends, 70% of Turkish tourists typically take a sun and beach holiday, according to the publisher’s Q3 2021 Consumer Survey. This far exceeded the global average of 57%. This is followed by 66% of Turkish tourists typically take an eco holiday, the highest among all respondents and far above the global average (19%).
- Recommendations from friends and family is key to decide where to go on holiday. 58% of Turkish respondents reported this as being an influencing factor, according to the publisher’s Consumer Survey Q3 2021.
- According to the publisher’s Q4 2021 Consumer Survey, Turkish travelers were significantly less likely to have used an OTA the last time they booked a holiday when compared to the global average (24%). In fact, just 14% of Turkish respondents reported using an OTA.
