Authors

Frede Blaabjerg Professor of Power Electronic Systems, Department of Energy, Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark. Prof. Blaabjerg has been a Professor of Power Electronics and Drives with AAU Energy at Aalborg University, Denmark since 1998. He has published over 600 journal papers and 22 books. He has received 38 IEEE Prize Paper Awards, the IEEE PELS Distinguished Service Award (2009), the EPE-PEMC Council Award (2010), the IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award (2014), the Villum Kann Rasmussen Research Award (2014), the Global Energy Prize (2019) and the 2020 IEEE Edison Medal. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics (2006-2012), and a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Power Electronics Society (2005-2007) and the IEEE Industry Applications Society (2010-2011, 2017-2018). He has served as President of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (2019-2020) and Vice-President of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, and was named one of the 250 top-cited Engineering researchers in the world (Thomas Reuters, 2014-2021).
