She has authored over 40 professional papers, books and books chapters; has given numerous national and international presentations; and served on editorial boards for referred journals. She served as an executive board member of GeneFacts, Genetics and Genomics Community and the Genetic/Genomic Competencies for Nurses Prepared at the Graduate Level. Dr. Seibert's research portfolio includes funded projects focusing on genetics, learner engagement and telehealth technology. Under Dr. Beverly Malone's leadership, the National League for Nursing (NLN) has advanced the science of nursing education by promoting greater collaboration among stakeholders, increasing diversity in nursing and nursing education, and advancing excellence in care for patients. Dr. Malone's distinguished career has mixed policy, education, administration, and clinical practice, including as federal deputy assistant secretary for health under President Bill Clinton. She contributed to the groundbreaking IOM report, "The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health," and served on the Minority Health Federal Advisory Committee, a federal panel established to advise the US Secretary of Health and Human Services. She's on the Kaiser Family Foundation Board of Directors and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Board of Directors. Pat DeLeon is the Distinguished Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (DoD) in the School of Nursing and School of Medicine. He was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science in 2008 and served as President of the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2000. He's received numerous national awards including the Distinguished Service Medal, USUHS; National League for Nursing Council for Nursing Centers, First Public Policy Award; International Honor Society of Nursing, First Public Service Award; Ruth Knee/Milton Wittman Award for Outstanding Achievement in Health/Mental Health Policy, NASW; Delta Omega Honor Society Award for Outstanding Alumnus from a School of Public Health; APA Outstanding Lifetime Contributions to Psychology Award; and the American Psychological Foundation Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement in the Practice of Psychology Hawaii.
