Glyphosate China Monthly Report provides you with real-time intelligence on China’s glyphosate market.
It is a monthly published newsletter, which can be downloaded in PDF format. The subscription period is yearly, and grants the subscriber 12 issues in total.
China is the world’s largest producer of glyphosate, with 80% of the glyphosate produced in China being exported. Glyphosate is also still by far the most popular herbicide among Chinese farmers.
However, the industry is facing a number of serious long-term challenges. Increasing crop resistance threatens to make glyphosate less attractive to farmers, while research linking the product to cancer could lead to several key export markets banning the product altogether. Meanwhile, Chinese producers are struggling to comply with tough new environmental regulations and cope with severe industry overcapacity.
Glyphosate China Monthly Report will help you stay ahead of the game in this fast-changing market with real-time reporting on the entire glyphosate industry chain, from raw materials to end consumption.
In terms of company dynamics, Nantong Jiangshan and Wengfu Group cooperated to establish a joint venture named Guizhou Wengfu Jiangshan Chemical Co., Ltd., holding 35% and 65% shares respectively. Xinlongtai Biological Technology's project of 30,000 t/a glyphosate TC and formulation, including 27,000 t/a TC and 3,000 t/a AS, was approved.
In terms of policy, the Energy Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft) has been included in China's legislative work plan for 2024. The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the 2024 Agricultural Genetically Modified (GM) Organism Safety Certificate Approval List (the first batch), including 2 genetically edited plants, 6 GM microorganisms for animal use, and 1 GM plant. Additionally, there are 55 renewed production application safety certificates, including 4 GM microorganisms for animal use and 51 insectresistant cotton certificates whose validity period has expired and been renewed.
