Now’s the Time to Make Mental Health a Priority for Your Faculty and Staff
One thing that is common across higher education right now is burnout. This is a sensitive issue because it affects everyone differently and no one really wants to talk about it very much.
What would happen if your faculty and staff were rejuvenated and fully ready to meet the challenges ahead? What if they could spend one hour a month to get the well-being guidance, they so desperately need from education experts? How would that impact productivity on your campus?
Right now, the host is offering a special course presented by educators, for educators.
What’s Included?
Understanding and managing physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual wellbeing can lead to more joy and less stress. Developed by educators, this course helps higher education professionals address wellbeing and resilience.
Issues related to mental health and wellness, especially on U.S. college campuses, have escalated in recent years and have been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many education professionals recognize the problem and may have taken a few steps to try to help themselves. Participants in this course are ready for strong leadership and guidance toward mastering optimal health.
In addition to the robust self-paced course content, The Wellbeing Elixir includes optional live group Zoom sessions. Each month, presenters Drs. Seena and Stuart Haines host a Zoom meeting for all the course enrollees. Participants can ask questions, receive feedback, and learn from peers. The added depth that this learning community will add to the participant’s learning experience makes this course unique.
Users Learn at Their Own Pace
The asynchronous portion of the course features videos, transcripts, supplementary materials, assignments, and reflection questions to further enhance learning. Each module provides materials that support many styles of learning and offers additional references for those who want to dig deeper into a particular subject. Participants can complete these videos and assignments on their own schedule. At the end of the six units, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Access to all course materials is available for a full year, so users can revisit and refresh their learning as they progress through their wellness goals. Achieving overall wellbeing and resilience is a balance of physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual practices and indicators.
