Authors

Soteris A Kalogirou Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Sciences and Engineeringof the Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol, Cyprus. Professor Soteris Kalogirou is Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, at Cyprus University of Technology. He is Visiting Professor at Brunel University, UK and Adjunct Professor at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland. He is Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Founding Member of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts.
For more than 35 years, he is actively involved in research in solar energy and particularly in flat plate and concentrating collectors, solar water heating, solar steam generating systems, desalination and absorption cooling. Additionally, he is involved in a pioneering research dealing with the use of artificial intelligence methods, modelling and performance prediction of energy and solar energy systems.
He has published many books and papers in scientific journals and is Editor-in-Chief of Renewable Energy and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Energy, and Editorial Board Member of fifteen journals.
