In a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, the three orthogonal axes of X, Y, and Z are the only ones that may be moved by the probe when using a conventional 3D bridge CMM. Scribing, gauging, scanning, and light drilling are the primary uses for coordinate measuring devices. This allows it to determine the location of an individual point on the object's surface as well as the measurement's three-dimensional vector.
