This study looks at how much and how lawyers at major law firms are using Twitter. The study helps its readers to answer questions such as: How many lawyers use Twitter? How valuable do they find Twitter for their practice of law. What are they primarily using Twitter for? Do they have personal Twitter accounts or do their firms have accounts? How much time do they spend on Twitter daily?
Just a few of this 33-page report’s many findings are:
- Approximately 25% more female than male lawyers at major firms use Twitter.
- Broken out by legal specialty, international trade lawyers spend the most time on Twitter.
- More than 60% of lawyers who attended the top 20 law firms found Twitter without any value for their practice of law.
Data in the reports is based on a survey of 261 lawyers from major law firms in the United States, predominantly firms with more than 500 lawyers. Data in the report is broken down by legal field or specialty, gender, work title, ranking of law school attended, and size of the law firm.
