The map covers companies producing pharmaceuticals for human and animal use. Also included where known are companies producing Naturals/Herbals, Nutritionals and Excipients, CRO and CDMOs are included where known. In some African countries due to a lack of local production, there are authorised importers and distributors. These too are shown where known.
The map shows the location and site name for each company. A symbol indicates the type of activity carried on at the site. The map includes sites which have had their premises inspected by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The map covers all African countries
