Dr. Cuce is also currently a Visiting Professor at the School of Engineering and the Built Environment, Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. His research specialisms include solar chimney, solar energy, and sustainable buildings, and he has been involved as Editorial Board Member, Associate Editor or Guest Editor for a number of international journals across renewable energy, construction and sustainability. Dr. Cuce received the Young Scientist of the Year award from the Science Heroes Association in 2018 and the Outstanding Young Scientist Award (GEBIP) from T�rkiye Bilimler Akademisi (Turkish Academy of Sciences) in 2021. He was also named in the World's Top 2% Scientists, by Stanford University in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Dr. Pinar Mert Cuce is Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, in Turkey. With 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and management, she has worked on several scientific projects funded notably by the EU, TSB, DECC, EPSRC, British Council, TUBITAK, and international commercial companies. Her main areas of research are low/zero carbon technologies for buildings, innovative heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems solar thermal and hybrid PV/T systems, energy-efficient greenhouse systems, thermal superinsulation materials, nano coating and nano paint solutions, innovative windows, smart and thin film PV glazing, thermal comfort, thermal energy storage, enhanced heat transfer, advanced thermodynamics, and applied mathematics. Dr. Pinar Mert Cuce has authored or co-authored over 200 scientific papers in high-impact SCI journals and prestigious international conference proceedings, and has held positions as Guest Editor or Editorial Board Member of several journals.
