IT Infrastructure Sector Scorecard Q1 2024 Update - Thematic Intelligence

Cisco continues to lead the thematic screen of the publisher's IT infrastructure sector scorecard. The company first took the top spot in Q3 2023 and has maintained it since then, thanks to scores of 5 out of 5 for seven of the screen’s 10 themes.

Behind Cisco in the thematic rankings are three of the world’s largest companies by market capitalization: Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon. All three score better than Cisco for the artificial intelligence (AI) theme but have scores of 1 out of 5 for the geopolitics theme, which suggests that this theme will be highly detrimental to their future performance. Cisco also outscores all three companies in the observability theme, which, like AI, has a weighting of 15%, reflecting its importance.
