Carbon Quantum Dots in Biomedical Applications discusses carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and their beneficial properties for applications in biomedicine, sensing, and imaging. CDQs have enhanced solubility, low toxicity, environmental friendliness, easy manufacturing, and desired optical properties, which offer an advantageous alternative to more traditional materials. This book provides an interdisciplinary reference that details the various synthetic routes of CDQs, outlining their physical, chemical, and optical properties, and discussing their potential biomedical applications. This book is of interest to researchers and postgraduate students working in a wide range of fields, including materials science, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, and more.
