  • The global M&A market in Q2 2024 witnessed deals worth $528 billion, a drop of 9% compared to Q2 2023. In terms of deal volume, there was a 15% fall from Q2 2023 to record 7, 200 deals in Q2 2024. The TMT sector led the M&A deal activity, with 2,138 deals worth $166 billion recorded in Q2 2024. Most sectors saw a year-on-year drop in deal value in Q2 2024. Mega-deals (defined as any deal valued at more than $1 billion), also dropped to 114 deals in Q2 2024 compared to 117 in Q2 2023.
