A federal court in Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc., et al. v. Garland, et al., recently enjoined enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), blocking the CTA’s Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting rules and reporting deadlines. The government is appealing the trial court’s ruling and sought a stay of the court’s nationwide injunction.
