Analysis of chiral pollutants in the environment: fundamentals, techniques and applications provides in-depth information about chiral pollutants across four topics: i) the fundamentals and relevance of their enantiomeric determination; ii) methods and techniques for determining the main groups of chiral pollutants iii) analytical techniques alternative to their determination by gas or liquid chromatography; and iv) case studies on pollutants and environmental matrices of particular relevance. The volume includes overviews of analytical methods for the determination of pharmaceuticals, illicit drugs, pesticides, perfluoroalkyl substances, polychlorinated biphenyls, brominated flame retardants and musk fragrances. Specific chapters on the application of supercritical fluid chromatography, multidimensional chromatography, capillary electrophoresis and indirect chiral determinations are also included. Chapters have been written by internationally recognized experts on each topic.
