Furthermore, the methane production as a percentage of net gas production was lowest in BCH and highest in ensiled BCH-RS. These trials aim to assess resistance to Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura, as well as glyphosate tolerance.
Additionally, trials for GM stacked maize MLS10101 x MLS13621 will evaluate resistance to S. frugiperda and glyphosate tolerance. The trials, scheduled for 2022-23 and 2023-24, will take place at two of the proposed sites: University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka; University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, Karnataka; and Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. The committee recommended conducting the trials at these locations, subject to several conditions.
