The Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) market is a subset of the electrical engineering industry. It is composed of companies that manufacture and distribute CRT products, such as televisions, computer monitors, and oscilloscopes. CRTs are vacuum tubes that use an electron beam to produce images on a phosphor-coated screen. They are used in a variety of applications, including medical imaging, radar, and industrial automation.
CRTs have been largely replaced by flat-panel displays, such as LCDs and LEDs, due to their lower cost and improved image quality. However, CRTs are still used in some applications due to their superior image resolution and refresh rate.
Notable companies in the CRT market include Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, and Samsung. Other companies, such as Hitachi, Mitsubishi, and NEC, also produce CRT products. Show Less Read more
