Gazprom is a Russian multinational company which specializes in the extraction, production, transport and sale of natural gas. It holds the world’s largest natural gas reserves. The company and its subsidiaries are engaged in oil production, refining activities and electricity/heat generation. Gazprom sells more than half of its overall produced gas to Russian consumers and exports gas to more than 30 countries. Founded in 1989, the company employs 393,000 workers and is headquartered in Moscow, Russia.
