As detailed in the publication, real-time payments received special attention from the various businesses in the United States, especially during the health crisis. Among the main reasons to utilize this type of payment processing, US corporate decision-makers point to increased accuracy of cash flow management. With that, the share of instant payments of total transactions in the country is forecasted to constitute about one-fifth through 2024. However, on the macro-level, the country is expected to constitute less than a tenth of the world’s total real-time payments transaction value by 2025 as other economies take the lead in the adoption of the practice.
