The market of auto parts is rich in assortment, as new parts, and used parts with disassembly.
Used auto parts are still in demand in Ukraine for several reasons:
1. In Ukraine, there are quite a few foreign cars of the 90's and above, the original spare parts for which are practically not sold. Therefore, the owners of these cars buy genuine used parts, despite the fact that these parts are already partly worn out. Age cars need to be repaired on average 2-3 times more often than new ones.
2. Price increases, in particular, due to currency appreciation. Most of the auto parts in Ukraine, are imported. Therefore, some foreign owners prefer to buy used parts with low mileage, which cost less.
On the market of auto parts in Ukraine 88% of the parts of imported origin, despite the fact that in Ukraine, almost half of the car fleet is Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian production.
First of all, such structure of the auto parts market is connected with the fact that car owners mostly buy used auto parts at disassemblies. In addition, almost all Soviet cars no longer produce parts. According to the classifier, suspensions and brake systems have the largest share in the structure of the auto parts market by groups.
In 2018, auto parts were imported by more than 1600 Ukrainian companies. Companies LLC "Elite Ukraine" and PE firm "UNIX TRADE KO" are the largest distributors of imported spare parts in Ukraine, which are also engaged in retail sales.
Export of auto parts from Ukraine is not very developed, compared to imports. This is primarily due to the fact that abroad the share of domestically produced cars is quite low, and many CIS countries also produce auto parts for such cars. Import of spare parts exceeds production more than 7 times and grows rapidly every year. Braking systems, running wheels and suspension systems showed the greatest growth in monetary terms, which can be used as a basis for the conclusion about the quality of Ukrainian highways.
Increased competition in the market may lead to some reduction in the number of companies that sell their products on the market. In the conditions of crisis, it is necessary to devote more time to new segments - to expand client base, to plan and develop new directions.
