. The contributors are from an international cast of equine experts, representing the top countries where research on performance horses is conducted: US, Australia, UK, South Africa, and Canada.
. The Equine Standing 3D CT Scanner technology was a game-changing advance in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation in 2016 when it was released. The new edition will include this new technology.
. The American Association of Equine Practitioners' 2020 Virtual Convention & Trade Show, focused on advancements and welfare concerns during several sessions about safety-related measures relating to eventing, jump racing, and rodeo. Timing for a new edition is now!
. The title will continue to remain on the Science Direct platform. In general, equine titles do well on the platform and this is an additional source of revenue for the portfolio.
. This is a topic of interest globally so there is heavy potential for translation opportunities.

. Imaging techniques maximize the ability to assess equine performance.
. Drug information is presented as it applies to treatment and to new regulations for drug use in the equine athlete.
. Advances in methods of transporting equine athletes ensure that the amount of stress on the athlete is kept to a minimum.
. Rehabilitation techniques support a return to peak performance.
