We will explore how Stereotypes, Prejudice, and Discrimination are maintained in 2021. We plan to discuss the development of biases for or against an individual, a group, or a belief. We will discuss the true meaning of equality and equity and how the two have different paths for achieving success between races, sexes, social classes, and more.
We will discuss, define, and give examples of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. We will review explicit racism as well as implicit racism. We also plan to discuss the effects of Microaggressions.
We will ask participants to take inventory of their own unconscious/implicit bias. We all have them. It starts with us working on ourselves.
We will challenge participants to do an inventory on own their own unconscious/implicit bias.
Think about how those instances have made you feel when you’ve been the victim of it.
