Emerging Issues in Title IX Compliance, Investigations & Litigation

Concerns about sexual misconduct on college campuses continue to dominate the headlines, with an ongoing debate about the fairness and thoroughness of investigative and adjudicative processes. With the implementation of the U.S. Department of Education's new regulations in August 2020, compliance has become even more challenging-especially as schools remain uncertain of the status of the regulations under the Biden administration and continue to operate in very different ways as a result of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

The panel includes two experienced attorneys who regularly advise colleges and universities and an in-house attorney who manages institutional Title IX compliance. Hear the panel share their insights on the critical aspects of every facet of sexual misconduct cases on campus-including assisting colleges and universities in developing and executing policies and processes on campus, investigating claims of sexual misconduct in a fair and impartial manner, navigating the 'live hearing' and other technical requirements of the new regulations, responding to charges filed with the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights ('OCR'), and responding to litigation. If your practice involves any Title IX matters, this is one seminar you should not miss.
