Enoximone is a cardiovascular drug used to treat congestive heart failure. It is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, which works by increasing the force of contraction of the heart muscle and improving the heart's ability to pump blood. Enoximone is usually administered intravenously, and is used in combination with other drugs to treat heart failure. It is also used to treat pulmonary hypertension, a condition in which the pressure in the pulmonary arteries is too high.
Enoximone is a relatively new drug, and is not widely available. It is not approved for use in the United States, but is approved in some European countries. The drug is still in the early stages of development, and is not yet widely used.
Companies in the Enoximone market include Actavis, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, and Sanofi. Show Less Read more
