The Mobile Cardiac Telemetry System (MCT) is a type of cardiovascular device used to monitor and diagnose cardiac arrhythmias. It is a wireless, wearable device that continuously records and transmits electrocardiogram (ECG) data to a remote monitoring center. The device is typically worn for up to 30 days and can detect and alert clinicians to changes in the patient’s heart rhythm. MCT systems are used to diagnose and monitor a variety of cardiac conditions, including atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, and tachycardia.
MCT systems are becoming increasingly popular due to their convenience and accuracy. They are often used in place of traditional Holter monitors, which require the patient to be connected to a stationary device for 24 hours. MCT systems are also used in clinical trials and research studies to collect data on cardiac conditions.
Some companies in the Mobile Cardiac Telemetry System market include AliveCor, Cardiac Insight, CardioNet, iRhythm Technologies, and Medtronic. Show Less Read more
