Rimiterol is a respiratory drug used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is a long-acting beta-2 agonist (LABA) that works by relaxing the muscles of the airways, allowing more air to flow in and out of the lungs. It is usually taken twice daily, either as a single inhaler or in combination with an inhaled corticosteroid. Rimiterol is used to reduce the frequency and severity of COPD exacerbations, improve lung function, and reduce symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing. It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.
Rimiterol is available in both brand-name and generic forms. It is marketed by several pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Sunovion Pharmaceuticals. Other companies that produce generic versions of Rimiterol include Mylan, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Sandoz. Show Less Read more
