Generation X, also known as Gen X, is a demographic cohort born between 1965 and 1980. Gen Xers are typically characterized as independent, self-reliant, and entrepreneurial. They are often seen as the bridge between the Baby Boomers and Millennials, as they are the first generation to grow up with technology and the internet. Gen Xers are also known for their skepticism and pragmatism.
Gen Xers are now in their 40s and 50s, and are in the prime of their careers. They are well-educated and have a strong work ethic. They are also more likely to be married and have children than Millennials. Gen Xers are more likely to be homeowners and have higher incomes than Millennials.
Gen Xers are an important market for many companies. Companies such as Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have all targeted Gen Xers with their products and services. Other companies such as Nike, Starbucks, and Walmart have also tailored their offerings to this demographic. Show Less Read more
